Learning to speak Spanish?
This WebQuest activity was Design for Spanish Teachers. I have included a lesson plan for those teachers who would like to try this activity in their classroom. Before implementing Please review Purpose, learning Objectives, and standards, in order to comply with the School's curriculum.
This Page WebQuest was Design for Entry Level Spanish Teachers, with the intend to teach their students to develop an interest for learning a second language, by means of research of the spanish culture and the spanish language.
Some learners think it is not necessary to speak a different language. By completing this webQuest activity the students will explore and learn more of the Spanish culture and language, perhaps developing an appreciation for the opportunity they have in school to learn a different language.
This WebQuest activity was design for High School students and anyone else interested in learning a new language, by following the WebQuest model developed by Bernie Dodge and Tom March, which incorporates: Introduction, Task, Process, Evaluation, and Conclusion.
After completion of this WebQuest activity, the learner will be able to perform the following:
- Research the Spanish Culture and language.
- Write convincing arguments describing reasons for learning a new language.
- Create a PowerPoint presentation according to the research.
- Use the rubric to provide for self-evaluation of their work.
- Give a presentation to the entire class, by explaining the convincing arguments found in the research.
- Student must turn in his or her PowerPoint to the teacher for grading and evaluation.

Demonstrating Understanding of Literary and Cultural Texts and Traditions. Candidates recognize the value and role of literary and cultural texts and use them to interpret and reflect upon the perspectives of the target cultures over time.
Students will produce a PowerPoint presentation, which in turn must presented to their classmates and turn in to the instructor for a grade based on the rubric provided in the evaluation page form this WebQuest Activity page.
