Obesity in children is at an alarming rate, with 1 out of every 3 kids now considered overweight. Low amounts of exercise and consuming high amounts of junk food are leading kids to this health issue. Instead of riding a bike, kids choose watching TV. Instead of eating an apple, kids choose a cookie. Many kids are not familiar with the food pyramid and what it means to eat healthy. The food pyramid and its six food groups should be our guide to what we eat every day.

Through this WebQuest, you will learn what the food pyramid is, what it looks like, and what the six food groups involved in it are. You will also learn how to eat healthy meals everyday.
