First, form groups of four and then follow these steps:
Use these links to read about what the food pyramid is, what it looks like, and what the food groups are. Take notes about each food group.
Draw your own food pyramid and include pictures in each food group and write the number of servings needed. Color.
Using the information that you learned, create a menu for a restaurant. Include 3 meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) that use all six food groups in each meal. Include prices for each meal and come up with a name for the restaurant. On the back of the menu, write the total number of servings for each food group that is eaten in the three meals. Decorate the menu.
Share the menu with the class.
