Education Technology : A New Frontier in Learning

This is the Education Technology Page presented and designed byMark Ellis. Education Technology, also known as Instructional Technology or Learning Technology, is the meaningful use of high-technology in the advancement of education. Education technology is not to be confused with technology education which is a general term for learning technology or about new technology.


History of Education Technology

The term Education Technology has been used formally since about World War II when it was refered to as Instructional Systems Design (ISD). This new method of teaching was used to train large numbers of people in a more effective manner than conventional methods. To find out more, click here.
