When an education technology teacher decides that he or she needs to design a website for a school or class, it is very important that they consider and use various tools that will help them achieve a well planned and designed site. Without question, high quality software is needed to complete this mission and not only does the instructor have to have an understanding of what kind of software to use but also, how to use it.
Currently, the industry standard that every education technology instructor should have is the Adobe Web Premium Suite. The suite contains all of the software needed to design publish and share websites, graphics and information on the Internet. Even though each program could be a stand alone piece of software, the suite was designed for each program to be used together in order to create the type of information document needed.
Even though each program could be a stand alone tool by itself, the entire collection of tools work with each other to form a seamless unit that allows an education technology teacher to produce educational Web sites and pages that instruct as well as inform.
Before showing you exactly how these programs could be used together, lets look at each piece of software separately.
