Games & Puzzles
Finding activities and lessons that can keep students challenged is a difficult task. A technology savvy teacher should have a variety of resources the he or she can use to integrate fun activities into their curriculum. Fortunately, there are people that have designed educational games and activities that can be integrated into just about any curriculum and many of these activities and resources are free and easy to use.

- The_Puzzle_Center- The Puzzle Center is a part of the APTE Inc. web site. Originally created for children with disabilities, APTE has designed all sorts of learning tools for students and teachers alike. This site has software on it that will enable you to quickly and easily build your own crossword and game puzzles based on your own curriculum requirements. With APTE’s Puzzle Center, you have a variety of creative puzzles and games that you can make very quickly. You can create anagram games, secret code games, crossword puzzles, word search and word scramble games with just a click of the button. All that is required is a very brief sign up and then you can start designing quizzes and tests.
- Teachnology -Teachers can use all types of games and puzzles in an effort to get the attention of their students. One of the more interesting games you can play with students is Education Bingo. On the web site Teachnology, you can create bingo cards that will reinforce definitions, vocabulary, and even math problems. The site has a very easy method to create the type of cards that you want and you can design them for grade levels K- 12.
There are theme bingo games and tips and hints for creating your own educational experience for your students while having fun. You can use a variety of games, such as: Concentration, Timed Matching, Story Board, Drag & Drop, Sentence Mix, Multiple Choice, & Vocabulary. Not a real advanced site but these tools work.
- Game-O-Matic - Here is a very simple site that allows you to quickly and easily create different types of games and quizzes. The format is extremely easy, all you have to do is add the data that you want to use, like vocabulary words and then just click. This is a very simple yet effective method of teaching students while having fun.
