Assistive technology, in terms of computer software that is available, seems to have a vast range of products that are available to students with disabilities. There are software programs that assist you in everything from speaking words properly to learning how to drive a power wheel chair. A teacher needs to assess a situation before he or she makes a decision for their classroom and consider whether or not the programs can be used long term.

This piece of software is like a 3D action game that looks just like a game that any child without disabilities would play but it is designed to help students learn how to drive their power chair. The setting is in a schools and there are many different challenging levels and the game has all sorts of arcade style features in it to keep the students challenged and entertained while helping them develop the motor skills necessary for driving their power chairs. Assistive Technology Touch Fair
This is a program is designed for students that have learning or visual impairments. Basically the programs allow the students to touch or click on something on the screen to get an award.
