Analyzing Data

Instructions

Session Seven and Eight

In the last few years there has been an outcry placed on educators demanding high academic standards and the need to demonstrate progress in achieving these goals. More recently the emphasis has been placed on using data for deepening the dialogue about student learning and using this data to identify the programs and strategies that are successful. Today's schools are working towards using data to transform their learning environments into schools that provide personalized, engaging and success oriented learning, providing positive and stimulating schools for our children.

I'd like you to take some time to read the following articles:
Tiers of Technology Integration into the Classroom Indicators and
Preparing For The Data Deluge by Don Hall
After reading the articles, please go to the Discussion Board and respond to the questions for this session. Please remember to make your first post in the beginning of the week so others can have time to post their responses.

Comments

I enjoyed this assignment because I kept thinking about trying to dodge the naysayers doubts to being able to pull off a plan to improve the teacher's proficiency in utilizing technology. Every district has people that are firmly stuck in their ways, but I feel that if you can just get more people on board with incorporating technology and feeling comfortable using it, then maybe the negative Nellie's will not be as loud as the positive Patti's.
