Welcome to My ePortfolio!

May 2010

This web site reflects my growth as I journeyed through Boise State's Master of Educational Technology Program.

My background

Before September 2008

I began my love of computers during my senior year of high school in the early 1980s. I used IBM punch cards to create my first computer program, a simple dice game.

I continued exploring computer technology by graduating from DeVry Institute of Technology with a Computer Program Diploma for Business.

As life moved forward I was side tracked and worked in the business world as an accountant. Only to change my career again, receiving my teaching degree from Governors State University in Illinois, in December of 2000. I currently hold a valid Illinois Teaching Certificate for Self-contained Kindergarten to 9th grade classrooms, with endorsements in middle school, math and computer applications.

Teaching

September 2001

My first teaching position, and current one, is teaching computer skills in two K-5 buildings. These skills range from basic typing to Internet safety. I am in my 9th year of teaching and eager to expend my teaching to incorporate skills that will make my students successful life-long learners in the 21st Century.
