Thank you for taking the time to review my Masters of Educational Technology (M.E.T.) Portfolio through Boise State University. Provided is a collection of all my work completed in my courses at Boise State.
I began my journey in August 2008 and I will be finishing in December 2011. The journey took longer then expected due to starting my first year teaching and to coaching. Though the journey seemed long, I wouldn't change a thing. It was all well worth the ride!

About Me
I am currently a middle school math teacher and volleyball coach. When I started my Masters in Educational Technology I was a nanny on the East Coast. I worked for a wonderful family, but the time came for them to go back to England and myself back to teaching. If it wasn't for the EdTech program I truly believe I wouldn't be where I'm at today.
When I applied for my first teaching position, I had only completed one semester at Boise. It was enough for my Principal to see my love for technology. The school I teach at is a Mac school and has Promethean Boards with Activexpressions for all teachers. When I was hired they must have known I would utilize these pieces of technology, but I don't just stop there. I take the sites I have created through EdTech courses and use them in my class. I look forward to creating more as time progresses and hopefully I can redesign my school's home page! As a new teacher I thought I would be asking everyone for their advise and help. I was wrong. My technology background has put me as the go to person at our school. I have become quite good at troubleshooting. I have also trained staff and new coming staff in the use of technology.
I am so pleased with my experience at Boise State! The staff have been supportive and always willing to go the extra mile to assist me. The courses were top-notch and they helped me grow in so many ways. |
