EVALUATION
The final step
of the ADDIE Model of Instructional Design is the
EVALUATION phase:

The Evaluation
phase of the ADDIE ID Model is broken into two
parts: Formative
and
Summative.
Formative evaluation is done while
Analyzing,
Designing, Developing, and Implementing the lesson. The
purpose of formative evaluation is to determine whether the
everything is unfolding as planned; or whether obstacles
are being encountered, and a new approach must be
identified in order to overcome them. It is also possible
to identify new possibilities for the lesson, in which case
mid-project adjustments may improve the lesson on-the-fly.
Summative evaluation is done after
the lesson has been
Implemented. The purpose of summative formation is for
analysis of the completed project, and to give feedback for
the next Analysis phase before the lesson is to implemented
again.
Please
tabulate the
summative evaluation for your
database lesson.
What goal(s) or objective(s) were not met?
What might you change in the lesson in order to attempt to
gain student competency in these areas the next time
administering the lesson?
(If students are not in the teaching phase of their
credential work, they will not be able to tabulate
summative scores, and it will suffice to merely identify
what some hypothetical changes might be for their
lesson.)
