LBD
VALUES
The values of
the Learning by Doing Theory of Instructional Design are
based upon the assumption that content knowledge will be
learned by necessity while working through the problem
solving of goal based scenarios.
Accordingly, problem solving skill development is just as
important as learning content knowledge.
Additionally, students must become motivated to work
through the goal based scenarios because the work is
relevant, meaningful, and interesting.
Finally, all content knowledge learned must be important in
a real world application.
