Types of Cells

There are three main types of cells: bacterial, plant, and animal. Bacterial cells were the first cells to appear on Earth and are very simple. They do not contain a nucleus but do have a cell wall and a cell membrane. Plant cells have two additional organelles that animal cells lack; they have chloroplasts and a cell wall. Use your textbook to learn more about the organelles that are found in cells.
