I graduated from Western Michigan University in 2002 with a major in Special Education and minors in Elementary Education, Early Childhood Education, math and science. Immediately after graduation I taught 4 years of high school special education, followed by one year of elementary special education in North Charleston, South Carolina. My husband and I moved to Sagle, Idaho, where I taught one year of 6th grade in Sandpoint, ID and two years of middle school special education in the virtual setting with the Idaho Virtual Academy.
Shortly after teaching with the Idaho Virtual Academy, teaching in the virtual environment and designing online curriculum for students in special education became my passion. My career goal is to work for a company designing or adapting online curriculum to meet the needs of students in special education.
