Exposing kids to typing skills, navigational skills, and various programs is a good idea.  However, there are a lot of things (i.e. WebQuests) that could be done without the use of AS MUCH technology.  I feel that it is time consuming and unnecessary to give instructions for a project online, when you could introduce a lesson in class and then have them research online.  However, I also believe that it is important that kids realize that they are able to get information from other places than the internet.  Library research skills are just as important! ","Taking the online course can be a little frustrating at times.  It forces you to be more ""on top"" of things so far as turning in your work.  I also did not know that I needed to have Microsoft Word and my home computer only has Works, so it causes a little bit of a headache having to come to school anyway to use the labs.  However, I can come to the lab on my time when I choose to.  No one is taking attendance, so if I have a bad day, I don't miss out on a lesson.  I was in a regular EDUC 202 class last semester, and I felt like I learned the programs better there because I had an example.  HOWEVER the first three weeks of class were wasted for me, because I already understand all of the basics.
