Instructor of twelve-month course for military reservists. Develop lesson plans, lecture, administer monthly examinations. Responsible for curriculum that qualifies reserve officers for Joint Task Force assignments.

Initially hired by this shopping center developer to manage CAD software applications. Responsible for creating budgets, ordering materials, and scheduling work for the company's projects.
Served in the role of Network Administrator with responsibility for the company's computer network.
Promoted to Project Manager in 2000 with responsibility for all activities associated with the successful planning, coordination, and construction of major shopping center developments. Report directly to the company President and work on a daily basis with managers to address their scheduling and deadline issues as well as resolving any conflicts. Representative clients include Wal-Mart, Target, and Kohl's. Specific duties include determining and scheduling the work, equipment, and materials required for the project, developing budgets for securing bank loans to draw against during construction, securing permits from local regulatory agencies, scheduling material delivery, on-site monitoring of construction activities, and meeting with the clients/owners for monthly progress reports. Maintain updated civil engineering drawings for 17 current projects and distribute them to project supervisors.
Accomplishments include:

Installed a new computer network, established Internet connections, converted to Windows NT, and converted to DSL. An outside contractor previously performed network administration.

Developed a system for job supervisors to complete work order forms on the job site and turn in the paper work in a timely manner. This system has produced $2.7 million in additional work in the past 2 years.

Created a program to manage the company's 160-unit equipment inventory (dozers, paving equipment, etc.) This system includes a reporting process that provides weekly information on each piece of equipment, complete repair manuals on DVD's and laptop computers, and maintenance management software identifying the current maintenance status and planned future preventative maintenance requirements for each piece of equipment.
ASSISTANT VICE PRESIDENT May 1994 to May 1999
Citizens Bank and Trust . . . Carrollton, Georgia
Initially hired as a Banking Officer with responsibility for converting to computerized operations. Promoted to positions of increasing responsibility as Assistant Branch Manager, then Branch Manager. Promoted to Assistant Vice President with responsibility for managing non-interest income. Conducted employee classes on sales and service and implemented sales incentive plans. Directed the bank's programs for direct deposit, ATM's, branch sales tracking, and trusts.
Accomplishments included:
- Managed the conversion to computerized operations at the bank's 12 branches.
- Developed and implemented a computer-training program for 160 bank employees.
- Increased annual non-interest income by over $1 million within 2 years.
- Personally sold trusts as large as $260,000.
- Assisted the payroll department of 3 large companies to import files into ACH format and setup direct deposit. Held information/education meetings with the companys' employees to outline the benefits of using direct deposit.

UNITED STATES MARINE CORPS November 1989 to present
Active Reserve . . . Atlanta, Georgia (May 1994 to present) - Served as Battalion Operations Officer with responsibility for maintaining combat-readiness of 1,100 reservists. Served as Emergency Manager representing the Marine Corps to FEMA. Currently serving in a joint billet as the historian for Special Operations Command.
Naval Air Station . . . Meridian, Mississippi (May 1992 to May 1994) - Served as a Flight Instructor, Network Administrator, and Public Affairs Officer. Also created graphics and presentation materials used for training.
Marine Corps Air Station . . . Cherry Point, North Carolina (November 1989 to April 1992) - Served as a Squadron Pilot, Intelligence Officer, and Responsible Officer during Desert Storm.
