The Road Rules to Internet Safety

This curriculum web is a good way to begin the school year before students begin using the Internet in a classroom or lab setting.

This curriculum web is designed to introduce elementary students to Internet Safety. This curriculum web is designed for 4th or 5th grade students with little to no experience using the Internet.

Too often children are left alone to "surf" the Internet without an adult monitoring their activities. As an elementary technology teacher, I have been working with students and Internet safety for many years. I have gathered great information over the years to aide in the teaching of Internet safety. This curriculum web will present this information to you (teacher) and the student in a fun but educational format.

In this curriculum web we will use many web sites, worksheets, and quizzes to teach Internet safety.

In this curriculum web we will cover:

  • What is personal information?

  • Why we should not give out personal information on the web.
  • Learn all areas of personal information.

  • Cyberbullies

  • What is a cyberbully

  • What to do when confronted by a cyberbully
