The S:\ Drive
Another College of Education network drive is the s:\
shared drive. This drive allows you to transfer files to
other College of Education employees or students. Everyone with a
College of Education with a Novell login has this drive, including students
logging into one of our lab computers.
For that reason, this is not a secure drive. Everyone can look
at all of the files in the folders. So everyone has the access
rights to delete, create, read, or move these files.
If you are logged in with your Novell logon, browse your computer by
opening the My Computer icon on your desktop or by using Windows
Explorer you will see all of your local and network drives listed along
with other storage media.
The lab logins that allow you access to the s:\
shared drive are: 421,
221, 224, and 525. If you are in any of these labs and
login with the room number, you will be able to see the s:\
shared drive. See the example below.

The s:\
shared drive is showing below after logging in with the lab
login above. You will also see this drive if you login with your
employee Novell login.
