Learner Description: This Activity was created for participants, teachers and learners alike,participating in a "Digital Storytelling for ESL Adult learners' course, advanced level.

So, you will be working on your first Digital Story during this semester. How exciting! You will write a story, choose your own pictures, music, and possibly even a video, and put it all together! You will even be able to upload it on the Internet and share it with the world!

Images, music, and video - sounds fun and easy! Thanks to the Internet, we have unlimited resources at our fingertips!The question is: Can we actually use them? If they are available, does it necessarily mean we can use them any time we want to?

Below you can find instructions to "Digital Media Copyright and Fair Use Scavenger Hunt" activity. The purpose of this activity for all of us to learn about Copyright and Fair Use of the digital media available to us on the Internet. Let's explore those DOs and DONT's and share with each other in order to educate ourselves with the copyright guidelines and exercise our ethics during this course and in the future. Follow the instructions, and good luck with hunting!

Scavenger Hunt: Resources and Instructions:

As this activity aims to help you identify correct practices and develop "good" habits as far as Copyright and Fair Use of the Digital Media, you will be "hunting" for information using the resources below. To complete this activity, please print out the Worksheet Document to fill out and the Answer Key Document to check your findings. Please bring both to class for a discussion.
